Sam Feder | Director, Producer, Editor
Sam Feder’s (www.samfeder.com) directorial debut, the award winning feature , BOY I AM, is cited as one of the 10-Must See Gender Documentaries. Sam’s work can be seen internationally at film festivals, universities and colleges, museums, and libraries. They have received national grants, fellowships and residencies from: The Jerome Foundation Grant, the RFA Excellence in Filmmaking Grant, Frameline Completion Fund, Crossroads Foundation, Funding Exchange, Astraea Foundation for Social Justice, John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Sam was granted a 2013 Yaddo Artist Residency, and a 2013 MacDowell Colony Fellow Residency.

Esy Casey is a cinematographer who has shot for numerous documentaries including THING WITH NO NAME (2008, Nominee Best Documentary at the Los Angeles Film Festival, Haskell Wexler Prize for Best Cinematography); BORN TO FLY (2014, with Albert Maysles); and BEFORE YOU KNOW IT (2013). Her films with Sarah Friedland have been featured on the sites of Filmmaker and Art Asia Pacific Magazine, and her film JEEPNEY (www.jeepneymovie.com) will air on PBS next year.
Sarah Friedland | Editor
Sarah Friedland (www.sarahfriedland.com) is a director/ producer/editor. Her feature, THING WITH NO NAME, premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and screened widely nationally and internationally. In 2009 she was named, “One of the Top 10 Filmmakers to Watch” by the Independent. She has edited award-winning and Emmy nominated films that have screened widely at festivals, museums, and on PBS. She is currently touring festivals with THE RINK and JEEPNEY and is in production on a new documentary called MEMORIALS.
Michael Hearst | Composer
Michael Hearst (www.michaelhearst.com) is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and writer. His film scores include The Good Mother, House of Suh, Magic Camp, and To Be Takei. Hearst is a founding member of the band One Ring Zero, which has released nine albums. As a solo artist, his projects include Songs For Ice Cream Trucks and Songs For Unusual Creatures. He is also the author of the books Unusual Creatures and Extraordinary People.
Cassie Wagler | Sound
Cassie Wagler is a multimedia producer and teacher living in Brooklyn, NY. She works primarily in sound as a radio producer, sound recordist and creator of audio stories. She teaches journalism, media studies, multimedia production, and robots in New York City area schools and colleges. As the co-host and producer of the radio show ROMANTIC FRIENDSHIP, she investigates queer and feminist art, culture and politics. Currently she is working on a long-form audio documentary about Evangelical Amish-Mennonite settlements in Florida.
Iva Radivojevic | Additional Camera
Iva Radivojevic is a filmmaker based in NYC. Her films have screened at various film festivals including HotDocs Film Festival, PBS, The Documentary Channel as well as the New York Times Op-Docs. David Briggs| Sound Design
David Briggs (Sound Designer) was nominated in 2013 for a Golden Reel Award for his sound editing work on Moonrise Kingdom. Other recent sound editing credits include Concussion, Black Nativity, We Are What We Are, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete, Friends With Kids, Bachelorette, No Place on Earth, Bottled Up, and My Best Day. Currently he is the Supervising Sound Editor for the new Sundance series The Red Road, premiering in February ’14. Laurie Sumiye | Animator
Laurie Sumiye is a Hawai`i-born designer, filmmaker, and artist. Her work uniquely blends technological, visual, animation, and documentary forms. Laurie has worked as an art director and designer for interactive, advertising, and web agencies in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York, working for clients such as Disney, Best Buy and Target. She has shown her award-winning art and film work internationally, at DOC NYC and BAMcinemaFest. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon and working on a interactive documentary about native Hawaiian forests.
Johan Salvador | Lighting Design
Johan Salvador is a fashion photographer and retoucher with an ongoing professional career spanning over 7 years. Johan has produced countless lookbooks and fashion editorial campaigns for clients including Elizabeth and James, Patterson J Kincaid, Quinn, Yoshi Samra, Charlie 5.0 and the like. His work has been featured in Woman’s Wear Daily and other fashion publications and blogs around the greater NYC area.
